Member Spotlight - Dr. Allen ChengBefore Allen Cheng was an active member of the Oregon Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, he was doing most his growing in California. He did his undergraduate studies at UC Berkeley, followed by dental school, medical school, and residency at UC San Francisco. He made the journey north to Portland to complete a two-year fellowship in Head and Neck Oncology and Microvascular Reconstructive Surgery. Following this, he joined the staff at Legacy Cancer Institute and Providence Cancer Center and joined the faculty at OHSU. Presently, he practices the full scope of oral surgery, with a specialty focus on Head and Neck Oncology. He enjoys working with the next generation of surgeons hone their abilities. His greatest satisfaction is seeing residency and fellowship alumni blazing past their former teachers as they further our specialty. When he is not working, he devotes his time to his wife and two children. They enjoy exploring all Oregon has to offer, whether it be the outdoors, dining, or arts! |
